After practicing Yoga off and on for 10-15 years I completed YTT and began teaching locally in 2013. In addition to working, I have been operating my studio in Grafton for nearly four years, teaching Hatha-Vinyasa and YIN Yoga, as well as Pilates and private tailored classes for a varied clientele. I have had a long love affair with health, fitness and wellbeing, engaging in many and varied activities and pursuits (including completion of my Diploma in Remedial Massage in 2001). Along with an understanding and strong interest in the physiology and anatomy of the human body, I have also developed a deep curiosity of the interplay between the physical and energetic bodies, and continue to explore meditation and other alternative health modalities.
Relevant qualifications completed include: Yoga Level 1 (200hrs), Pilates Level 1, Certificate III and IV in Fitness, and YIN Yoga (in 2015). I am consistently honing my skills as a teacher and practitioner by participating in workshops with respected teachers and recently spent a month OS under the mentorship of Tashi Dawa, KPJAYI Authorised Level 2 Ashtanga teacher. This journey of study and practice will continue for many years to come.
Why Yoga? Because Yoga is an activity that improves and maintains my physical, emotional and mental health – creating space for reflection, self-
enquiry, acceptance and growth, which in turn has seen development of a happier, more peaceful, mindful and resilient me! These are the benefits I take beyond the mat and hope to share with others to take into their everyday life it’s a great way to be living!
